BitPIM is a free utility for working with older CDMA cell phones from a variety of producers such as Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson, Nokia and others. It generally supports Qualcomm chipsets.

The program offers a number of different features for managing and viewing data on cell phones. It deals primarily with SMS messages, wallpapers, call logs, calendars and the phonebook on the device. It can be helpful for transferring your data from an older model cell phone to a newer Android device with the help of other tools.

Connecting a phone to the program isn't too difficult thanks to the "Phone Wizard" helper tool which can recognize many different types of phones. It even offers an "Other" option if your phone isn't recognized.

BitPim can deal with a lot of data and transferring that data to a PC isn't a huge task. It recognizes and supports backing up of phone data like SMS text messages and calendar events.

Overall, BitPim is a little bit outdated but is still useful for dealing with older phones from many of the manufacturers that were in the game back in the days when CDMA was in its hay day.
